GrandMa's Apple Sauce Cake

Preheat over to 350°

3 Sticks softened Butter

3 C Brown Sugar

 

 

Cream together with Mixer

3 Cups. Applesauce preferably Cinammon Applesauce

3 Eggs (Beatened)

6 Tsp. Baking Soda

Mix and add to Creamed Mixture above.

Set Aside

2 ½ Cup. Plain Flour

3 TBSP. Cinnamon
3 TBSP. Allspice
3 TBSP.  Nutmeg

 

Mix.

Set Aside

1 ¼ Cups. Plain Flour

3 Cups Raisins

2 Cups. Chopped Nuts (walnuts. Pecans)

Mix. and add to Dry Mix above (Flour and Spices)
  Add Cream Mixture to flour mixture. Stir well.
  Pour into Loaf pans.
STEAM BATH

Water Bath

Place Loaf pans into a 9X13 Pan.
Add water to 9x13 pan. Avoiding Loaf pans.. About ½ way up on loaf pans.
  Place in a preheated 350° Oven. Steam 1 Hour.
  Remove loafs from Water bath. Place back in the oven for at least ½ hour more. or till done.

This is the world's best applesauce cake. It has been passed down through Generations in our family..
